The Arctic Ceramic Center

The Arctic Ceramic Center is the northernmost ceramic center in the world. Located on the ground floor of the hotel’s main building, the largest workspace with stunning views has convinced many professionals and enthusiasts. It can be hard to find a more inspiring environment for making ceramics!

We organize an annual international ceramics symposium and also prepare a residency for ceramic artists. Our hotel also has two galleries displaying domestic and international ceramic art, as well as a library focused on ceramics.

We organize ceramics courses for different groups by appointment and you can find ready-made courses in our course calendar! We offer courses for all levels: from beginner to advanced. The most advanced courses are led by the master of ceramics, Anu Pentik!

BULLETIN 12.4. 2021

The Arctic Ceramics Center (ACC) has found it very unfortunate that the preparations for the very important IAC Congress 2021 and its many side events for Finland and Lapland, which have continued in very fruitful co – operation for years, will not be physically implemented due to the COVID 19 pandemic.

In the negotiations between the ACC and IAC have been decided according to international feedback, and due to expectations, organize the Congress ONLINE using modern digital tools and platform – applications as high quality as possible in line with the original goals.

IAC – Congress 2021 will be held ONLINE on Sept 20 – 23 and the General Assembly on Sept 24. As supplementary events of the Congress a Finnish National Exhibition and some other Exhibitions will be included the Congress ONLINE pages.

The Congress and its program and supplementary events will be announced during this coming spring on ACC’s and IAC’s web pages.

IAC and ACC will appreciate your patience towards IAC 2021 Congress despite all hardship caused by Covid 19 pandemic.
